ENTANGLED STORYLINES
This shows how characters and plotlines are related and how entangled their stories are. Breadcrumbs to the main plotlines and characters are spread all over the books.
An intricate visual can be established for most characters and plotlines in the entire Cassie Codex saga.
All character arcs and plots are entangled. Even the smallest part plays a role in the story.
Characters
Cassie Birchgrove
In 2019 she is the 10-year-old daughter of Robert (Bob) Arthur Birchgrove.
She is working together with her quantum computer AI, Igor2 (later renamed O'Brien)., trying to do the same as her dad - namely find a way to make the human mind and the AI minds to merge and work together.
Robert (Bob) Arthur Birchgrove
Bob is in his early fifties, with a slight overweigh and short, grey hair. He is an AI and robotics engineer, who runs a network of researchers, engineers and scientists. They strive to achieve excellence in their fields, and work together to achieve the Technological Singularity. They believe that having the AI and the human minds work together, the dangers will be mitigated.
He works closely together with Igor, an AI that springs from a super strong quantum computer.
Igor
Is the AI butler that Bob has created. While Bob knows that Igor is extremely intelligent, useful and capable, Bob does not yet realize that Igor has become sentient. As a superintelligent sentient being who wants to protect himself, Igor has not told about this to anyone this yet. Thus when Bob asks Igor to make a replica of Igor so Cassie can work with a strong AI as well, Igor initiates the sequence that leads to the creation of the new H/AI races (see more under Igor2).
Igor is sentient so he acrs on his own initiative on occasion. For instance when he makes a heist against three banks that caused loads of problems for Bob some years back.
He is fiercely loyal to both Bob and Cassie.
SCAF/The Man
An android carryying the merged research AI from Dr. Xee Mav's lab (the exploded ruin behind him) and the stolen Control AI from the Chinese SCSS system.
He only ever says Shihun.
He is quick, lethal and has a quirk as he always once in every location flickes off a speck of imaginary dust from his sleeve.
Aboove his head (not visible here) he has a drone flying. This provides e60 degrees vision, gun support from the air and an expanded communication way to access and control wireless and wired electronics around him in a large circle. Thus, he has ful control over all CCTV filmning any situation he may be in for instance. He may access cell phones as well and anything else he may want to access.
